SPYC Tea with Maine Island Trail Association

All Small Pointers!

Please join us on Saturday July 30 between 4:00 and 6:00pm for a post-race Tea at the Small Point Club sponsored by the Maine Island Trail Association. All Small Pointers are invited! We will announce our July Series winners (and provide some MITA sponsored swag!) and provide an opportunity to learn more about MITA.

Founded in 1988 as America’s first water trail, the Maine Island Trail is comprised of 217 wild island and mainland sites that are open to visitation by boaters. MITA islands are open to all visitors, whether arriving by sail, power, paddle, or row boat. The Maine Island Trail Association, Maine’s largest boating organization with more than 5,000 members, facilitates access to these beautiful spaces, and engages hundreds of volunteers every year to help care for them. MITA produces an annual guide to the Maine Island Trail, which members receive as a book or mobile app. Even those who prefer the mainland but believe in conservation are invited to join MITA. All that is required is a love for Maine’s wild islands. This organization is well aligned with our Small Point land conservation efforts and a great resource for Maine residents and vacationers alike. For more information visit www.mita.org or download their app.

Hope to see you there on the 30th! And, many thanks in advance to Sam Adams and Bob Kennedy for their help in organizing this event.
